State seeks feedback to outline developmental disabilities plan

Akron Beacon Journal - 12/23/2019

A state panel is looking for input to identify problems and needs of Ohioans with disabilities.

The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council has released a survey to identify these needs. The input will be used to develop the Council's Five-Year State Plan, which will drive the Council's mission to create change the improves independence, productivity and inclusion for people with developmental disabilities and their families in community life.

The survey is directed to three different audiences: people with developmental disabilities, family members and guardians and professionals and other stakes holders. The state plan will help in developing specific grant proposals toward relevant projects across Ohio that will positively impact people.

The survey is available online and open until Jan. 31, 2020.
