A project of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center that promotes statewide understanding of elder/adult abuse and the rights and protections available to elder and at-risk adults. Programs include: quarterly training seminars for professionals who work with seniors such as law enforcement, social workers, LTC providers, Adult Protective Services, attorneys, financial planners, advocacy groups, public health departments, hospitals, churches, city and county offices, etc. A quarterly newsletter is distributed to over 2,000 professionals by request. CCERAP also hosts a website: www.ccerap.org which features resources, archived newsletters, fraud alerts, links to other organizations advocating for the elderly and their families. A Media Library is available providing videos, training materials, etc. for loan. Several publications dealing with legal issues such as Power of Attorney and financial exploitation are available. This is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Trainings are held at Aurora City Hall which is ADA approved.
