Each county in the Denver region has a human services department with a Family and Adult Division providing the following services: Aid Needy to the blind and disabled; burial assistance; employment services; Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP); food assistance (food stamps); assistance for the homeless, grandparents/kinship, housing/evictions; Long Term Care; Medicaid eligibility; old age pension; protection to adults/elderly; and veteran services.
