Support groups available for dementia caregivers

East Aurora Bee - 11/9/2017

The Alzheimer's Association Western New York Chapter is offering support groups to caregivers of those with dementia and Alzheimer's.

The groups, according to the Alzheimer's Association, will provide coping tools and emotional support for caregivers, along with methods and skills to solve problems that come with caring for a loved one.

The meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, 345 Main St., East Aurora. Respite services are also available for people with dementia to make it easier for caregivers to attend the meetings.

For more information about other support group meetings that are taking place across western New York, visit www.alz.org/WNY or call 1-800-272-3900.
