BRIEF: Eagles rout Egle Nursing Home, 13-2

July 03--FROSTBURG -- The Cresaptown Eagles scored five runs in the first and another five in the second in building a giant lead over Egle Nursing Home in what turned into a 13-2 win Thursday at Glendening Field.

Catcher Cameron O'Neal had three hits -- all singles -- and drove in two runs. Trenton Middleton drove in three runs with a double, while Jake Vanmeter and Jakson Bauer had two singles each.

Bauer was also the winning pitcher, going all five innings with five hits allowed in a mercy-rule shortened outing.

Ryan Wilson hit a triple in the loss.

The Eagles improved to 15-4 and play Madigan's Auto Monday at Broadford Park. Egle Nursing plays Lakeview Auto at Northern, 6 p.m., on Tuesday.
