BRIEF: State agency seeking comment on draft amendment to waiver

Oct. 29--The North Dakota Department of Human Services' Developmental Disabilities Division is seeking public comment on a draft amendment to the Traditional Individual with Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities waiver. The amendment seeks to increase capacity to serve more eligible consumers with disabilities and to comply with the new federal Home and Community-Based Services rule that includes HCBS settings and person-centered planning.

The waiver serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and includes an array of home and community-based services in the least restrictive environment.

Individuals can review the draft amendment to the waiver on the department's website at www.nd.gov/dhs/services/disabilities/dd.html. It can be obtained by calling 701-328-8930, toll free 800-755-8529, or ND Relay TTY 800-366-6888.
