Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind

The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind is a state-funded school within the Colorado Department of Education. The school was established for the purpose of providing comprehensive educational services for children who are blind/low vision and/or deaf/hard of hearing birth to age twenty-one. Services are provided directly to students enrolled at the school and through outreach services, which are provided to students, staff, and families in public schools throughout Colorado.

EFC was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 1964. It was founded by a group of individuals who wanted to provide resources for people with epilepsy and their families. Today, the foundation serves 40,000+ persons with epilepsy and their families in the state of Colorado. Full-time staff, a board of directors, politicians, business men and women, community leaders, and countless volunteers are all involved with the foundation's activities.
