Health Facilities - Licensing and Certification

Regulates health care entities in the state of Colorado by ensuring that they comply with applicable health and safety standards. Licensed facilities must be in compliance with state licensure standards. Facilities that are Medicare and/or Medicaid certified must be in compliance with standards established by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council

Works to advocate in collaboration with and on behalf of people with developmental disabilities for the establishment and implementation of public policy which will further their independence, productivity and integration.
Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

Assists individuals with disabilities in finding resources to either find or maintain employment and to live independently. Services include training, physical and mental restoration, job placement, job coaching, assistive technology, vocational guidance and counseling. These services are offered to youth transitioning from school to work as well as to adults who have a disability that is a barrier to employment.
Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind

The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind is a state-funded school within the Colorado Department of Education. The school was established for the purpose of providing comprehensive educational services for children who are blind/low vision and/or deaf/hard of hearing birth to age twenty-one. Services are provided directly to students enrolled at the school and through outreach services, which are provided to students, staff, and families in public schools throughout Colorado.
Colorado State Unit on Aging

Dedicated to keeping seniors independent in their homes through the delivery of services funded by the Older Americans Act and Older Coloradans Act programs. The State Unit on Aging works closely with 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) to create a comprehensive package of community services.
Adult Protective Services

Services provided to, or on behalf of, residents of long-term care facilities. An ombudsman is a resource for long-term care residents, through whom they may obtain resolution to complaints or issues affecting their health, safety, welfare, and rights. Additionally, the ombudsman program is a resource to the community regarding long-term care information and referral.

Nutrition Program

Nutrition programs across the state of Colorado are a vital component to helping seniors stay independent and healthy. Good nutrition can support active aging and poor nutrition can impair quality of life. The Older Americans Act and Older Coloradans Act provide funding for nutritious meals, nutrition screening, nutrition education and counseling, health promotion and disease prevention, and physical activities.
Senior Employment Program

Works to enhance employment and training opportunities for seniors by reinforcing connections with the broader workforce investment system, including government agencies, community service organizations, and nonprofit organizations approved under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
